Adobo Mexican Grill runs fourteen grills. Thirteen are in New York: three in Brooklyn, two in the Bronx, one on 38th Street in Manhattan, Adobo Express on Broadway, and grills in Flushing, Jamaica, Laurelton, Uniondale, Selden and Yonkers. The fourteenth is in Jersey City, New Jersey.
The dare
Comment your bowl
A member of the team builds her favourite bowl and names every step: cilantro lime rice, fajitas, black beans, chicken, queso, corn, then the toppings and the sauces. Then she holds it up and sets the dare: “Comment down below your favorite bowl, and if it has zero likes, you’ll get a free bowl on us.”

The joke
“Great job today” (please tip)
Seven seconds behind the counter. The boss says “Great job today, you’re killing it!”, and the answer is the tip screen, held up to the camera. Adobo posted it the same week, with its own line: “Great job isn’t said enough… so here it is.”
The meal
Where bold flavor meets every bite
From the street into the restaurant and onto the grill: chicken charred on the flat-top, a bowl built by hand, a first bite at the table and the street sign on Grand Avenue. Twelve seconds. Adobo posted it on 18 April 2026 with the line that names it: “Where bold flavor meets every bite.”
