The Role
Sam&Sain Co. works with owner-led businesses on consulting and marketing. You’ll turn footage into short-form videos and carousels that feel true to the business, with a strong hook, tight pacing, clear captions, clean colour and polished sound.
The work is short-form vertical video for TikTok, Instagram Reels, Facebook and YouTube Shorts, and carousel posts for Instagram and TikTok. It isn’t long-form: no long YouTube videos, documentaries or full-length films. The role is editing only. It’s a remote contract for editors based in the Philippines, working with our team in Toronto.
What You’ll Do
- Review the brief and footage, then find the hook and the story for each video.
- Edit vertical videos for pace and attention, with captions, on-screen text, music, sound and colour.
- Design carousels from stills, frames and short copy, in each brand’s look.
- Work with our team and clients, take feedback and deliver organised project files on schedule.
What We’re Looking For
- A portfolio of short-form videos you edited (Reels, TikToks or Shorts), and carousels if you’ve made them, with your part in each made clear.
- Confidence with professional editing software, captions, colour correction and audio clean-up, and with a design tool for carousels, such as Canva, Photoshop or Figma.
- A feel for what holds attention on social: hooks, pacing, trends and sound.
- Clear communication and reliable follow-through.
Experience with food, hospitality, products or interviews is useful. If your portfolio is only long-form work, this role isn’t the right fit.
