Halal Munchies began as a halal cart in New York and grew into a franchise.
Its site lists more than 50 locations, from New York to Virginia, Connecticut and Ohio, under one line: “This is how halal should taste.”
The sandwich
From the grill up
The brand promises a taste, so the film starts where the taste does: on the grill. Two patties smashed and chopped with cheese, rolled into bread with sauce, wrapped in foil and cut open at the end. It starts and ends at the storefront.

The platter
Get ready with us
“Get ready with us” is a format usually made for outfits and make-up. We pointed it at a platter: one order followed from the storefront, past the “So flippin’ good!” sign, to the finished box, with the rice, chicken, fries and sauces going on in quick cuts behind the counter.

Ever since you left me
